Overview

BCIT is one of British Columbia’s largest post-secondary institutions with more than 48,000 students enrolled annually (16,600 full-time, 31,600 part-time). We offer practical career credentials designed for the workplace, including degrees, diplomas and certificates spanning Applied and Natural Sciences, Business and Media, Computing and Information Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences and Trades.

BCIT has five main campuses: the Burnaby campus; Downtown Vancouver Campus; Aerospace Technology Campus in Richmond at YVR Airport; Marine Training Campus in North Vancouver; and Annacis Island Campus in Delta. A wide range of full-time and part-time programs are offered at the Burnaby and Downtown campuses, whereas a smaller number of specialized programs are offered at the Aerospace, Marine and Annacis Island campuses. BCIT also has satellite campuses across the province.

FACILITY/SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS: The Burnaby Campus offers students the following: a 336-space student housing; a drop-in medical office, numerous sports courts, a weight room, aerobics classes, sports fields and a running track; extensive educational and personal counselling services; and a child care centre.

Before you apply
Check the eligibility requirements below before your start your plans to study in Canada :
  • Minimum Grade 12 equivalent, or completion of 2 years in college or university
  • Proof of financial capacity, either self-funded or sponsored by parents, spouse or other first-degree relatives (in a form of bank statements and/or Guaranteed Investment Certificate)

** Please note that WOORI Education and its partner schools do not offer fully funded scholarships, student loans, installment plans and/or job offers.

How to apply
  1. Submit the initial admission requirements
  2. In order to further assess your profile and eligibility, email the documents at renette@woori.ca or to your assigned WOORI representative.
    • High school diploma
    • Form 137-A (High school transcript)
    • College diploma (if completed)
    • College transcripts
    • Passport bio page
    • Updated resume/CV (optional for newly graduates of high school and/or college)
    One of the following proof of English language proficiency :
    • Certificate of English as Medium of Instruction (MOI) from your previous institution/s
    • Valid IELTS Academic test result (overall 6.5 or 6.0)
    • Duolingo test 110 or above

  3. Finalization of program and institution
  4. WOORI Education will guide you through the process, list of fees, any additional information and requirements, suggested programs and schools through a 1-on-1 free consultation. Choose your preferred mode of consultation :

  5. Submission of documents to your selected institution
  6. WOORI Education will submit your documents to your selected school and program in Canada. We will also let you know when to expect your Letter of Acceptance (LOA) and any status updates.

  7. Confirm the offer and pay the tuition fees
  8. Accept the offer and settle the minimum required fees before the indicated deadline. Most institutions accept wire transfer, debit or credit card payments.

  9. Prepare for your student visa application
  10. Start completing the necessary documents needed for your visa application. WOORI has a Registered Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) to represent you legally, proper documentation and lodge your visa application to Manila visa office. This is optional, you may also opt to apply for your visa application on your own.

  11. Get ready for departure and arrival to Canada
  12. Start booking your tickets, housing search and other checklist to bring on your flight to Canada. WOORI Education can assist you with settlement and proper guidance prior to your arrival to Canada (free of charge).
